Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to digital accessibility for all users.
Our Commitment
TPAIT, a CRC Cloud® initiative, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that all users—regardless of ability—should have equal access to the information and services available on our website. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.
Conformance Standard
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
TPAIT's website at tpait.com is designed to conform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, dropdown menus, and the theme toggle) are operable via keyboard without requiring a mouse
- Skip Navigation: A "Skip to main content" link is provided on every page to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation
- Heading Hierarchy: Proper heading levels (H1 through H4) are used in sequential order to provide logical document structure for screen readers
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their background in both light and dark display modes
- Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images and icons are marked with
aria-hidden="true"to prevent screen reader confusion - Link Purpose: Links that open in new tabs include screen reader-only text announcing "(opens in new tab)." Link text is descriptive of the destination
- Form Accessibility: All form fields include associated labels. Required fields are programmatically indicated. Error messages identify the field in error and describe how to correct it
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus outlines are provided for all interactive elements when navigating by keyboard
- Text Resizing: Content is readable and functional when text is resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Semantic HTML: Content is structured using semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, footer, article, section) with appropriate ARIA landmark roles
- ARIA Labels: ARIA attributes are used where standard HTML semantics are insufficient, including the theme toggle, mobile menu button, and dropdown navigation
- Motion Preferences: Our website respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting via thescroll-behavior: smoothCSS property, which is automatically overridden by browsers when reduced motion is preferred
Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers including NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android)
- Screen magnification software including ZoomText and built-in browser zoom
- Speech recognition software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking and built-in voice control
- Keyboard-only navigation without requiring a pointing device
The website is designed to function correctly with recent versions of major browsers including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
